K850

The newest cool item from sony ericson lounched lately in hongkon is sony ericsson is k 850. Sony Ericsson’s latest Cyber-shot camera phone k 850 is a sweet 5-megapixel camera shoehorned inside a great-looking little cellphone. It’s the K850 and it has a dual-front style, with a camera on one side and a cellphone on the other. We especially like the raised-button keypad with contextual icons, making it easier to handle the two sets of features within. When you’re using the camera, a different set of icons are highlit, letting you make things happen without that cumbersome menu-dive that’s usually necessary.

Sony Ericsson k 850 has auto-focus camera that can shoot high quality 30fps QVGA video as well as photos. it have fibe ways to take photo in a rapid succession, letting you pick the best of the five. the scrollable menu surely wil make you easier to choose. the most interesting thing in Sony Ericsson’s latest Cyber-shot camera phone k 850 is paked with nicly deign icon that are easy to decipher. making it more cooler phone. although full with nice thing but i was dissapointed with its screen. it just only have 2.2 inches screen maybe if they give more wider screen it will be very nice phone.

When it comes to music the Sony Ericsson K850 is equipped with Music Player 3.0 which is almost the same as the newly announced verion 3.0 of the Walkman player which is to be seen in Sony Ericsson W910 Walkman phone. Further on, the K850 comes with stylish light effects to suit the rhythm of the currently playing track. Again, much like the W910, the Sony Ericsson K850 has a built-in motion sensor but whether it can be used to control the music player

The Motorola RAZR 2

The Motorola RAZR2 V9 comes in the form of a sleek & stylish clamshell opening 3G handset. The RAZR2 V9 is a member of the RAZR family which

is a popular Motorola family which oozes style & sophistication. it looks almost identical to the RAZR2 V8 - it’s just a little thicker but otherwise the differences are slight. Unlike the V8, the RAZR V9 is a 3G phone with HSDPA support giving a maximum download speed of 3.6Mbps. It’s not the first HSDPA RAZR though, Motorola have been an early adopted of 3.5G in their clamshell devices.

the RAZR2 V9 features video calling and a close examination of the handset reveals that there only appears to be one camera. so presumably video calls are made using the external camera and screen. The camera itself is a disappointment. It’s just a 2 megapixel affair with no autofocus or flash and a pretty low video resolution of 176x144 pixels. In this respect the V9 isn’t that competitive with a lot of the high-end 3G phones it competes against.

It includes something Moto is calling "Crystal Talk" technology that automatically adjusts volume and tone based on ambient noise. Other features include external music controls, haptics for tactile feedback when keys are pressed, a full HTML browser, 2 megapixel cam, the full suite of Bluetooth profiles, Windows Media Player synchronization, a 2-inch external display, and twice the screen resolution of the original RAZR. It’s Internal memory is 45MB (a lot less than the V8) but this can be expanded by up to 2GB using microSD cards.

02 cocoon

O2 brings out a pretty cool new music-oriented handset. maybe if we hear music phone, we remember sonny ericssons products.like w 910 that announced by sony ericssons lately. The O2 Cocoon is a very unusual and highly attractive clamshell phone, due to hit O2 retail outlets in the UK during August.

The name "Cocoon" gives a clue as to the design - the outer case is curved (the design sketches at the bottom of the page will give you the best idea of the design) giving the handset a very elegant look. In many ways the design is reminiscent of the B&O Serene, but the O2 Cocoon is a much more highly specified device. The phone receives a clamshell design with an opaque white exterior and a sleek black interior. With easy access to dedicated MP3 controls on the side, there is no need to flip open the phone.  Hidden on the outside is a nifty exterior display which lights up to display calling/text message info, time, and also what song is playing. It’s 2GB memory capacity provides enough storage for all your favorite tunes, which can additionally be expanded with the microSD expansion slot.

Additional specifications include a 2 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, 3G connectivity, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The lack of Bluetooth is certainly disturbing since that’s almost a given in most handsets today. it also offering the supplied dock which can turn the phone into a radio alarm clock. Other features include: 2MP camera with autofocus and flash, video calling, and music playback (MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC and AAC+), and a 3.5mm audio jack. The phone is expected to available in August at a retail price around £300.

The overall look and concept of the O2 Cocoon has been designed by Swedish firm Syntes Studio, and their design concept gives a clearer view of the Cocoon’s elegant curved design.

w910 a new way to manage a music

sony Ericsson’s new W910 is the company’s new high-end Walkman feature phone. This attractive little 86g (3oz) slider has a 2.4", 262k color QVGA display and works with Sony Ericsson’s new Media Manager application, which replaces the older Disc2Phone application used by earlier devices.

With Shake control you can skip your music forward one track if it’s flicked one way and back if it’s flicked another. Shake the W910 back and forth and it shuffles your playlist. So if, for example, you’re feeling hyper, let SensMe organize your playlist with fast tracks appearing first . SensMe is a completely new way to browse music on your Walkman phone. Search your collection and create playlists based on tempo and style rather than on artist or album. The unique visual shows each of your tracks as dots in a matrix, placed along a horizontal and vertical axis according to their attributes. This way you can circle a group of tracks that match your mood to create a playlist, or simply select individual tunes as you wish. An alternative to the phone’s more conventional music catalogue. It also adds a new dimension to mobile gaming. If you tire of using the dedicated gaming buttons, just steer the W910 from left to right to make your move.  There’s also a new media browser on the W910, which lets you manage your music and video files simply. With room for over 900 tunes on the 1GB Memory Stick Micro provided

O2 Xda Atom

XDA Atom is the pioneer to incorporate a 2.0 Megapixel camera with built-in flash, FM radio tuner, and the new O2 MediaPlus application, which offers equalizer settings with Windows Media Player 10.

>enlarge                                       >enlage

Apart from that it is also the first such device to run on the new Windows Mobile 5.0 platform, and offers advanced features in Microsoft Office programs for Windows Mobile. O2’s XDA Atom also incorporates new features like the Self Diagnostics utility which is a step-by-step testing process to make sure the Atom is functioning at optimum condition; the Auto Configurator utility meant for frequent travelers; and the O2 SMS Plus which gives a one-page summary view of all incoming and outgoing text messages.

If you can’t connect to something with the Xda Atom, you’re really not trying. For a start, it’s a tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (GSM900/1800/1900) phone. Moving beyond simple mobile telephony, it’s also Bluetooth capable and Wi-Fi capable, albeit only to 802.11b speeds. For the true relics amongst us, it’s even IrDA compatible, although we’re not sure anyone’s using infrared to send anything via mobile in this day and age. There’s an obvious battery hit to take into consideration for each and every one of these technology inclusions, they’re still good to have as individual connection options.

O2 warned us that the unit they were sending us for evaluation was a pre-production sample — and we could hardly miss the splash screen that warned us of this fact every time we powered the phone up. This puts us in a tricky position to accurately gauge the Atom’s true performance, as it’s hard to say that any particular issue might not be solved via a future ROM upgrade. Still, many of our observations of the Atom’s performance had less to do with issues that might be resolved with ROM changes, and more to do with the phone itself.

As with the Xda Mini, the biggest hit against the Atom is also the unit’s biggest area of appeal, in that it’s a very small smartphone, and you won’t feel like you’re holding a brick up against your ear every time you make a call. The downside of miniturisation in this case is that everything else — interfaces, screen sizes and virtual keyboards — is smaller too, making it a more challenging PDA than its fuller-sized cousins. It’s less of an issue for jotting small notes, but if you need to send a long e-mailed response to a business query in a hurry, you may find yourself struggling.

The MediaPlus application is a smooth bit of software design — or, if you’re the conspiracy theory type, a neat bit of interface thievery — but you’ll either have to load files in via ActiveSync or via MiniSD card. The MiniSD card inclusion is a touch disappointing, as there’s plenty of SD users out there, but many fewer with MiniSD cards outside of the mobile world.

O2 rates the Xda Atom as having a battery life of 150 hours standby and 5.5 hours talktime, although that’s almost certainly a figure achieved with Bluetooth silenced and Wi-Fi switched off. In our testing we found the battery lasted around four days of moderate usage, although how much that was affected by the pre-production ROM in our test unit is impossible to say — we did experience a few crashes in that time that could have preserved or even drained additional power.

The Xda II Mini was certainly a hit amongst our audience as it dominated the early months of the year when it came to choosing our top mobiles, and given that the Atom is essentially just a feature set upgrade and a coat of black paint on the same basic design, we see no reason why the Atom won’t fare as well. If you’re after a small smartphone, the Atom is a solid, albeit not exactly inexpensive choice.
